Weather Update for Wednesday June 27, 2018.

National Weather Service

WednesdayJune27

OK my friends at the NWS are getting closer to including the current days in their graphic…Yipee! Regardless I now have my computer back and am prepared to fill in where they leave off in the future. And NO! The statements I made yesterday were not against global climate change or the like, it was a jest at the folks who do the graphics for National Weather Service. You know the pretty pictures you see at the beginning of this forecast. We move on….

Let’s line them up starting with today.

Today, Wednesday, there will be a 40% chance of precipitation spanning across midday. That possibility will decrease as we approach the evening hours as a high pressure area moves in. Winds will pick up as we experience a change in pressure in the area, west 10 to 15 mph becoming north northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. We will make it up to the high 70s in the Highland area under mostly cloudy skies, cooler near the lake and warmer inland. Wednesday night partly cloudy, with a low around 65. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable in the evening.

Thursday, mostly sunny with a high of 87 in the Highland area, 80 near the lake and 88 inland. Thursday night partly cloudy, with a low around 70. Southeast wind around 5 mph.

Friday, mostly sunny as we start to heat up, what the boys at the NWS were getting all excited about as they were making their graphic, high of 93. Night time temps will be in lower 70s.

Saturday a hot sunny 94 with a chance of precipitation in the evening. Sunday a chance of showers with a high of 88.

So if you like warm and humid, we have some days lined up for you.
