National Weather Service

WednesdayMay2

Summer-like warmth continues today, though more cloud cover and some isolated showers will likely keep temperatures a little lower than on Tuesday. Thunderstorm chances increase tonight, with the potential for a few strong to severe storms especially west during the evening. Wind and hail are the main severe threats. A cold front settles into or just north of the IL/WI border Thursday, and will be the focus for additional potentially strong to severe storms late Thursday and Thursday night. The cold front will eventually move through the area Friday, with rain ending from the northwest and temperatures cooling back to more average early May levels.

Saturday is looking pretty good. Clear skies and highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s. A chance of rain exists for Sunday. So use your Saturday well. Get out there and do stuff. Whatever that stuff my be, just get out and do it outside.
