High pressure will provide light winds and continued cool conditions to the region much of the day, then an approaching low will bring light snow to the area this evening into Monday. Snowfall totals should stay under an inch for the Chicago Metro area, and is expected to be around an inch for areas farther south and west.
Just hold on folks. There is light at the end of this tunnel. We are notching up the expected high for Thursday to 60. Thursday is shaping up to be a beaut with sunny skies added to the warming temp. Friday will hit the 60 mark but… precipitation returns in the form of thunderstorms. Hey you gotta accept the bad with the good sometimes. It’s like when your mom made your favorite meal. But wait……you give your plate a second look and…. your worst nightmare materializes. Canned peas. You quickly look for your dog (mobile garbage disposal) to sneak those lovely green sand balls off your plate and into his mouth. Well unfortunately this analogy does not translate to Friday. Unless your dog scarfs up thunderstorms. If so, I suspect your dog has a second job guarding the gates of hell. A sure sign is if your pooch growls and barks at your uncle Larry when he unexpectedly shows up at the house. We digress. But I’d keep an eye on that pooch if I were you!
