National Weather Service

Thursday18

Breezy conditions will be seen through Thursday and that may lead to patchy blowing snow in open, rural locations. Temperatures will generally moderate through the end of the week, with above freezing temperatures expected areawide by Friday. Saturday looks to have some sun before clouds move in and rain potential by Saturday night into Sunday. Snow melt will pick up considerably by Sunday. For those with river interests, this could result in some ice jam breakups early next week.
Pretty boring forecast for those of you who are looking for a weather event of biblical proportions, it’s not going to happen this weekend.
For those of you who are looking for such events, may we suggest that you dial up some movies on the NetFlix or other movie source such as Twister, The Day After Tomorrow, 2012, Perfect Storm just to name a few. Perhaps you can do your hoarding run to the grocery store prior to watching the movie just to keep in practice.
