Today is finally milder, but with this “warm up” comes precipitation. Can’t you just see us doing the air quote thing? Well we wouldn’t do anything as stupid and moronic as air quotes, but I bet most of you can. That’s all on you pal.  Relatively speaking it will be “warmer”. There we go with the ” ” again. It’s much like a badge of shame. However if you consider warmer as temperatures near freezing such as 32 or slightly above, then yes it will be “warmer”,  however we still consider 32 as “freezing” and technically “cold”. That being said we will experience a warming trend to the 40s by Thursday. Dipping again on Friday to the teens.

Light precipitation is expected to spread from west to east across the area this afternoon into early evening. This will likely be a mix for the first several hours, including light freezing rain that is most favored in the pink shaded area. This light icing could end up slightly further north, where mainly a snow and sleet mix is presently more favored. Light snow is primarily favored this evening with minor accumulations under 2 inches. Snow will gradually end overnight, with possibly some freezing drizzle too before daybreak Monday. Ok cupcake, the key word here is “light”. There is no valid reason to rush to the grocery store to stock up on supplies. This is not going to be a polar vortex type of snowfall. However if you feel so compelled, you just rush on down and stock up on water, eggs, milk, those apple fritters you wolf down from time to time, the six different flavors of Oreos you must have on hand and that gallon of Moose Tracks that you have been known to shovel down while binge watching on Netflix. Wow, that was a run on sentence if we ever saw one. I hope you were just as mentally exhausted after reading as we were writing that freight train.  As you assure your rightful crown as the poster child for the National Diabetes Foundation, please exercise caution. The roads will be icy and slick in areas.
